Hearts and Hammers

Published by in Company News on June 4th, 2012 | Comments Off

Yesterday Texas AirSystems kicked off our largest volunteer initiative for the year. This year the Charitable Giving Committee has chosen Hearts and Hammers. The goal of Hearts and Hammers is to repair homes of low income homeowners. Most of the homeowners are elderly and don’t have the means to do repairs themselves. Our homeowner is 95 years old and she lives alone with no family in town.

In September on our working days we will be making these improvements:

  • Re-Siding 1-car Garage
  • Repairing soffit and siding
  • Painting & Caulking
  • Laying Paving Stones in backyard
  • Planting flowers

We look forward to being a part of this event!

Below are some pictures that were taken by Texas AirSystems throughout the day.

Texas Air Systems Launches Commercial Air Blog

Published by in HVAC Industry News on December 14th, 2011 | Comments Off

The name was available.  We’d like to do a better job pushing out content. And we’re building a new site for Texas Air Systems in WordPress.  Why not add a blog?

HVAC systems provide us comfort.  They provide us safety. They either cost us money or save us money.  When it comes to commercial spaces, those three areas can help define who wins and who loses.  Would you sit in a 75 degree movie theater?  If the owner wants a “green” building, how does that affect your cost?  If your computers need relative humidity of 40%, what do you do if you’re sitting at 65% in the morning, and 25% at night?

This blog will be dedicated to asking and answering questions about the commercial design world and the importance of the heating and cooling systems in that world. Also, we’ll look at ductwork.
